Director, CSEC

Dr. Wale Akinyemi is a visionary leader whose journey began in Kuru, Nigeria. With a degree in Demography and Social Statistics, he built a foundation for understanding societies and cultures, shaping a career dedicated to transformation and leadership excellence.


Across three decades, he has partnered with global organizations to drive cultural renewal and change management. His approach blends practical tools with lived experience, challenging leaders to embrace transformation as a visible, lasting reality.


For over 15 years, Dr. Wale has been a prominent media voice. As a columnist, television personality, and social media influencer, he has inspired diverse audiences, sparking conversations on leadership and organizational culture.


As a prolific author, he has written 32 books, including Culture: The Lifeline and Silent Killer of Organizations and Beyond Intelligence: The Simple Practice of Staying Relevant. His literary works provide clarity and guidance for leaders navigating modern challenges. Beyond writing, he is an innovator. His innovation programs include the Transformational Leadership Course – Inspired to Inspire and Leadership Simulator – Executive Adventure, among others, have offered immersive experiences that redefine leadership and excellence.


His expertise has reached the highest levels of governance. Consulting for UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNCG, and UN-Women, he also led Kenya’s UN Country Team and spearheaded the UN’s Delivering as One initiative, enhancing efficiency and collaboration.


Today, Dr. Wale Akinyemi continues to work with governments, corporations, and institutions worldwide. His mission remains clear: to elevate leadership capacity and make transformation a lived, enduring experience.

George Muiruri, an organizational development specialist

George Muiruri is an organizational development specialist driven by the mantra “Learn, change, grow.” With a career spanning over three decades, he has dedicated himself to guiding individuals and institutions along their development pathways, helping them build the capacity to adapt, transform, and achieve greater effectiveness.


At the heart of his philosophy is a five‑dimensional approach to growth. He emphasizes the perfect blend of organizational culture and strategy, leadership styles that reinforce both, emotional intelligence as the glue that binds them, the balance between strategy and operational efficiency, and the cultivation of strong personal and corporate brands that endure in presence and absence alike.


Academically, George holds an MBA in Strategic Management, a BA in Social Sciences, and also three diplomas plus numerous certificates in leadership and business development, underscoring his commitment to lifelong learning.


Professionally, his career includes 25 years of leadership roles in organizations such as World Vision, the World Agroforestry Centre, and Old Mutual Insurance Company, where he headed Human Resources, Strategy, and Retail Business departments. For the past eight years, he has focused on organizational development consulting, bringing his expertise to diverse institutions.


Today, George continues to shape organizational excellence at the highest levels. His work reflects a deep belief in transformation as a lived reality, one that empowers individuals, strengthens institutions, and builds societies capable of sustainable growth.
