Premise

With the help of a sharp culture and strategy consultant, he fights to transform the company. Still, his personal internal conflicts, strained personal relationships, and marriage complicate the battle for survival.

Synopsis

The series follows John Kabue, a charismatic yet embattled CEO of a credit firm struggling after a merger. The company is plagued by poor interpersonal dynamics, rampant unprofessionalism, a lack of teamwork, and ineffective communication, all of which are perpetuated by the very department heads who should be leading by example. Through advice from his friend Martin. John seeks professional assistance from George, a culture and strategy consultant known for her bold interventions, who helps him reshape the company’s values and restore order. Together, they confront entrenched dysfunction, introducing new systems of accountability and collaboration. Complicating matters, John faces resistance from his department heads, who fear losing influence and precedence. He also from his wife, Maria Kabue, who becomes deeply involved in the company’s affairs. At times, she is John’s strongest ally, offering emotional support and fresh ideas. At other times, her meddling undermines his authority, creating tension both at home and in the office. Meanwhile, a secret affair between HR and a board member threatens to destabilize
John’s leadership. Their secret relationship evolves into a dangerous alliance, as they conspire to undermine John’s reforms and oust him from his Job. As John struggles to balance corporate warfare with betrayal, the series explores themes of workplace culture, including teamwork, trust, loyalty, ambition, and the fragile line between professionalism and unprofessionalism.
